National Careers Week – Day 3

    By St Eds,

    7th March 2018

In aid of #NCW2018 we have decided to teach you a little more about our Sports and Active Leisure course.

Many young people enjoy sports of all kinds but many do not know that this can take them into a very successful career path.

Our Sports and Active Leisure Level 1 course can offer young people an opportunity to gain knowledge in different areas of sports and nutrition. The course is a progression route for many young people.

Examples of the future of students taking our Sports and Active Leisure course:

    • Coaching Qualifications Level 1 and 2 – if a student expresses an interest in Basketball that student can go on and apply for a coaching qualification in that area after using St-Eds course to hone their skills and expand their knowledge of sports.
    • Fitness Instructor – St-Eds covers anatomy and physiology to finer details as part of this course, a student may wish to look at options in this direction.
    • Leisure Centre – This course will offer them an opportunity to gain work experience in this setting and potentially get a job from this.
    • Future Education – The student may decide they wish to stay in education and continue training until they have found their correct career path. There are lots of sports-based jobs that require a sporting qualification to at least a Level 3 standard.

This course is perfect for a stepping stone to a career path from the above.

Lots of young males and females are very influenced by sports and so it is extremely valuable to know that young people can make a career from this, many of which are sole traders and work alone with their own business’.

If you are interested in sports and would like to try our Sports and Active Leisure course please do get in contact.
