Functional Skills or GCSE English

We teach Maths and English at Functional Skills and GCSE Level. All our Post-16 students who have not achieved a GCSE pass in these subjects, will study English and Maths whilst on programme at St Eds.

When students join, they will be allocated a group, based on ability and previous achievements in these subjects.

We embed English and Maths throughout the students course, during Vocational Training, during theory work and in Enrichment Sessions.

Steven

Steven is passionate about teaching English, and delivering interesting and engaging learning sessions for the students. He has been working at St Eds since October 2018, and the thing he enjoys most about his role is seeing the students participate in tasks that demonstrate a new-found confidence and growing range of abilities.

Lee Masters 2019

Lee

Lee is our Maths tutor at St Eds, and joined in 2019. He teaches a range of levels and abilities, from Functional Skills to GCSE. Lee is passionate about maths, and enjoys applying it to creating his own music, which he performs regularly in gigs with his band.

Adam Sturman 2022

Adam

Adam is a self-employed Maths Tutor, who teaches GCSE Maths to our students. He has a degree in Mathematics, as well as work experience as a Data Analyst for many years. In his spare time, he enjoys running, playing the guitar and gaming.
