This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Norfolk’s most energetic charities who are on the search for enthusiastic staff members to expand the provision. St Edmunds Society is a charity recognised for the dedication and influence they have towards supporting young people to gain vocational education to boost their employability.
St-Eds work in partnership with local schools and academies to engage young people in alternative provision. St-Eds work on developing the lives of the young people of Norfolk and Suffolk, whom many have difficult backgrounds by ensuring they leave with industry-accredited qualifications for a step towards their chosen careers. St-Eds supports these young people in making positive attributes to their lives and helping them to boost their confident to move on to new and exciting opportunities.
We are looking for Learning Support Assistant/1:1 Support Assistants to support our Post-16 students whilst training on their 6-month course. This could be in a multitude of departments including construction, hair and beauty or functional skills. Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with young people, especially in this environment. You will need to demonstrate an interest in supporting young people with a view to directing them positively.
