St-Eds Signs Study Programme Deal With Skills Training UK

    By St Eds,

    6th October 2016

St-Eds Training Centre (St-Eds) in Norwich is delighted to unveil a new training partnership with Skills Training UK (STUK) to deliver study programmes for 16-18’s in Norfolk.

The six-month study programmes will run from St-Eds Norwich base on Oak Street in Construction, Motorcycle Mechanics and Hospitality & Catering, including work experience with a number of local businesses in Norfolk. The courses are suitable for those young people who may have struggled to achieve in mainstream education, or simply for those who are not yet ready to make the leap into college.

Student intakes will occur at the beginning of every month, providing flexibility for young people who have yet to decide which course to take-up after school, or who have decided a course they have chosen is not right for them.

    St-Eds CEO Lorraine Bliss said:

“I’m really delighted by this exciting opportunity to work in partnership with STUK, the 4th largest training provider nationwide. The study programmes will extend opportunities for high-quality vocational education with work experience to young people who want, and need, an alternative to mainstream education.”

STUK Development Director, Graham Clarke, said:

“STUK was really impressed by the vocational training offered at St-Eds and the employment opportunities it brings for young people, so St-Eds was the natural choice as a partner when we took the decision to fund courses in Norfolk. We’re really excited by the opportunities this partnership will bring to 16-19s in the county.”

For more information, or to arrange an interview for the study programme, please call St-Eds on: 01603 622035 or e-mail admin@st-eds.org.uk
