Joe
CEO
Joe has been involved in St-Eds in various capacities since he joined the Trustee Board in 2018. With almost 20 years’ experience in Further Education, Joe has worked nationally and locally to support Students gain Traineeship, Study Program and Apprenticeship qualifications and is most passionate about supporting young people into their first job. Joe was appointed CEO of St-Eds on a permanent basis in April 2024, and since then has worked with the team to create a welcoming, ambitious and supportive environment where every student is given the best possible support to achieve to the best of their abilities. The team have built a curriculum that aligns to the Local Skills Plan, and are building a strong network of employers to make sure every student has opportunities available for them to progress into work and further Training.
Serena
Director of Education and Delivery
Serena oversees the curriculum, quality of teaching and progress that the students make on their Study Programme to ensure that a high standard of learning takes place to support achievement. Serena thrives from seeing the students develop their confidence and skills throughout the year, which leads them onto successful pathways into further education or employment routes. Serena strongly believes that every young person deserves the right to achieve their full potential, irrespective of the personal, social, or educational challenges they may have faced..
Heidi
Fundraising Manager
Heidi joined St-Eds in February 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from the education sector. She has held various roles, including Study Programme Tutor, Apprenticeship Assessor, Skills Development Manager, and Contracts Manager. Passionate about ensuring every young person has access to education, regardless of their circumstances, Heidi is dedicated to making a difference. She is thoroughly enjoying her role at St-Eds, helping to secure vital funding to support the organisation’s mission.
Becky
Director of Pastoral and Partnerships
Becky is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential, and overcoming their barriers to learning. She oversees safeguarding, behaviour and SEND at St Eds, and is keen to create an environment with support in place where students feel safe and secure, and that encourages success. She has built a successful partnership with East Coast College to deliver Study Programmes to post-16s, as well as fostering strong relationships with local schools through Alternative Provision and Outreach packages.
Mick
Tutor Manager
Mick is our Tutor Manager at St Eds, and has a great passion and talent for this subject, especially in Carpentry. Before he joined us, he worked as a Horticulture tutor, as well as a grounds maintenance operative. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in his garden, and fishing. Mick is passionate about sharing his knowledge and skills with young people, that will benefit them throughout their lives and their professional careers.
Sharon
IQA Manager
Sharon joined the team in 2013. She is now our IQA Manager, who oversees Quality Assurance of our course delivery and ensures we meet the standards of Awarding Bodies of our courses. She also leads student progress meetings, and monitors and supports students to achieve their aims and gain qualifications. Sharon leads on registering new courses and lesson observations. In her spare time, Sharon loves reading non-fiction including biographies, historical events and self-improvement.
