National Careers Week – Day 2

    By St Eds,

    6th March 2018

Did you know employers only spend 30 seconds scanning your CV?

We are still supporting #NCW2018 with more information coming at you today.

Yesterday many of our young people were involved in a group CV writing session as we have many students leaving us in the coming weeks. We enjoy supporting our young people all the way through their time with us and even in the future we very much like to hear how they are getting on in their new career paths or in further education.

Serena, our CIAG, taught students all about CV and cover letter writing yesterday. Her session included lots of practical work for students to begin recreating their own CVs, as they will need this in weeks to come so they can apply for their dream jobs.

The session yesterday was extremely successful with young people beginning their CV’s and group activities to understand their attributes and passions. The students will be finishing their CVs shortly so we can advise any further.
