St Edmunds Society held an Open Day this Wednesday promoting towards young people who are home-educated. We were absolutely astounded by the amount of visitors we had through our doors – over 80 young people and their families/carers greeted us throughout the day. The day consisted of workshops in: mosaics, painting and decorating, repointing and bricklaying, carpentry making phone holders, plumbing and moulding copper piping etc. There were not just workshops but the opportunity to speak to our students, have a talk about engines in Transport Maintenance and some refreshments in our Catering department.
The young people were from ages 8-19 and were really enthusiastic about the workshops and courses that we offered.
Feedback it suggests the day was very successful and all arrived had a great day of tasters and information.
We want to thank all that were involved yesterday and for asking so many golden questions.
More photos of the day to follow.
