Meet Your Tutor
Our popular Catering & Hospitality Course teaches students all about the diversity of the catering and hospitality industry, and what it’s like to work with food. It delivers a tailored curriculum, designed to ensure that students leave with the knowledge and qualifications required for the industry.
As well as gaining a wide range of skills, students will also learn about customer service, basic food hygiene, food preparation and customer service. And learning isn’t just confined to the classroom, students get to celebrate diversity as part of the course, by providing catering for cultural events.
Students also provide practical catering for their fellow students who are enrolled here on other courses, as well as St-Eds staff, creating a real working kitchen experience. They learn how to develop menus, understand dietary requirements and how to prepare and cook meals in a live kitchen environment.
Gary is a Senior Tutor at St-Eds. Gary has been with St-Eds since early 2015. Before joining the team at St-Eds, Gary had his own business for almost 20 years. Gary was a qualified Chef for the best part of 15 years, specializing in fine dining. He has a lot of passion and is very enthusiastic about passing his skills onto the younger generation.
